Definition of the word “queer”1. strange or odd from a conventional viewpoint; unusually different; singular: a queer notion of justice. 2. of a questionable nature or character; suspicious; shady: Something queer about the language of the prospectus kept investors away. 3. not feeling physically right or well; giddy, faint, or qualmish: to feel queer. 4. mentally unbalanced or deranged. So….my question is…why do gay folks inflict this word upon themselves my making a big stink with Hallmark over them using the word “queer” in a Father’s Day card? The word was used in a generic way,,,, not affiliated with the homosexual community at all…..and a big stink is made by the gay folks because they used it in the real way the word should be used. Not derogatory towards anyone….and….because they used the word “queer”…..the gay community beefs????Yes, I do know they pulled the card.My bottom-line is “Why”? Why should they have to? When I read the card, I did not relate it to the gay community at all? But, because someone is gay? and looks for discrimination in places where there is none….is quite ridiculous!Resolved Question: Gays, Lesbians, Hallmark and the word “queer”………?
…and Republicans are affiliated with the Protestant Church (ie. the Bushes), and Republicans have way more conservative views (i.e. ProLife), but Protestant religions are usually more liberal than Catholocism? I just think its ironic that the most well-known Democratic family in America are Catholic, which by definition is more conservative than most Prostentant religions, but the Kennedys are affiliated with the most Liberal party. Don’t you think it shoud be the other way around. Most Catholics I know, are much more conservative than those affiliated with the Protestant church. What do you think?Resolved Question: Anybody think it’s odd that the Kennedys who are Democratic (Liberal) are Catholic?
